VisaRemote (“VisaRemote”, “we”, “us”) operates visaremote.com and related pre-launch services for remote workers researching Spain and Italy digital nomad visas. This policy explains what personal data we collect on this marketing site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to visitors of visaremote.com, users of our waitlist and free eligibility check, and anyone who contacts us by email. It does not replace terms of a future paid product — we will publish updated policies before launch.

Information we collect

• Waitlist and marketing signups: email address, signup timestamp, optional referral or campaign source (UTM), and the page where you subscribed.
• Eligibility check (MVP): answers you provide in the questionnaire (e.g. citizenship, income band, employment type, target country) and an email if you request results. We use this to improve scoring logic and product design.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device category, and pages viewed when analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) is enabled via environment configuration.
• Communications: content of emails you send to hello@visaremote.com.

How we use your information

• Send product updates, launch announcements, and guides relevant to DNV relocation.
• Operate and improve eligibility scoring, document checklists, and waitlist prioritization.
• Measure site performance and fix usability issues (aggregated analytics where possible).
• Respond to support requests and legal inquiries.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on consent for marketing emails (you can unsubscribe), legitimate interests for site security and product analytics, and contract/pre-contract steps when you request eligibility results tied to a future service.

Retention

Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or until we migrate to a production email provider with its own retention settings. Eligibility responses may be aggregated or deleted after product launch migrations.

Storage and processors

Waitlist signups are forwarded to our email provider (Resend) so we can notify our team; we do not store waitlist emails in a database on this site. Analytics (PostHog) and other providers process data under their own privacy terms.

International transfers

If you access the site from outside the country where our servers run, your data may be processed in jurisdictions with different privacy laws. We use appropriate safeguards when engaging subprocessors.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@visaremote.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies and analytics

We may use first-party cookies or similar technologies for analytics when NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_ID is set. You can use browser controls to block cookies; some features may still work without analytics cookies.

Children

Our services are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
